Times flies incredibly fast! I hope to start my tumblr rennovations tomorrow. I have the graphics done. I just need to figure out the code.
MANILART09 WAS SO SEXY and I just started classes at PCCI. I am constantly moving so getting to draw bit by bit was a sort of a blessing. Not to say work was unpleasant. Not at all. UGH the things I’ve seen, the people I met, the things I’ve learned and the frienships on fire. I am in love.
A lot of errors. But that’s why it’s called a work in progress. Unreferenced. a sketched spread on my moleskine. I’m debating between digitizing flat colors on this or manually painting the color I want.
I have a book with a few Bernini statues and this was a close up of one of his cherub faces. I had a piece of discarded orange bristol and started playing. This was inked with a ballpoint pen without a pencil underdrawing. Tried to add white highlights for an interesting contrast but the bristol was shiny and wouldn’t absorb anything :|

I love Bernini. Did I ever mention that here? I positively adore him.
It has been one of my dreams to go to Italy to see his work- to stare in awe with a quivering hand, desperately trying to capture everything in pencil
So after marrying Photoshop for an eon, I sifted through my stash of unfinished traditional work. Found an old painting (2007) that deserved finishing and this is what I have so far.
OH SELF OF TWO YEARS AGO. YOUR DRAWING OF HANDS SUCKED ASS. I can’t salvage that mess but this is good practice for color anyway. It’s a mix of acrylic and watercolor and I’m more gutsy with dark tones. But you can’t see the contrast because I shot this just now and my room is dark.
FGFGAYSGWa%#$%@##$ I wish to be awesome and powerful right now D:
MY DESIGN IS UP FOR VOTING AT DESIGN BY HUMANS
Guys, I’d really truly appreciate it if you took the time to vote for my work. You’d need an account to do that but I swear eternal love if you’d go the extra mile. Thank you so much!!!
Now that everything’s over. I’d like to step out of the computer and draw the way I used to draw.
Old work. Pencil sketch with PS overlay.
